Marja Kurki Opens First Chinese Boutique
Marja Kurki has opened its first Chinese store, which was designed by 5 Star Plus Retail Design.
Located in Nanjing’s Golden Eagle Plaza, the store takes up just 25sqm, features a minimalistic and light design, reflecting the brand’s style.
Despite an absence of walls, ceiling and height limitations, and the tight footprint, 5 Star Plus deliberately created display furnishings at a low level so as to increase the visibility of stock and the flow through the store.
Artificial marble and bronze textures were used and the designers created a ‘Scarf Tree’ fixture where the latest collection of Marja Kurki is displayed, following the brand’s tagline – “Fashion accessories made of natural materials”.
Founded in 1976, the Finnish lifestyle brand offers a range of quality, minimalist fashion accessories including silk scarves, sunglasses and leather products.
